Went out Sunday 11/20/05 Wind howling as usual in am, got to Coney, still dark out. Birds working, wind gusting, got 12 stripers to 28". Then tried a suicidal run in the waves out towards breezy. Found blues under birds. Had to run and gun. More birds than fish. Met Brendan for 1st time. Man do I owe him one. He sent me towards Fort Tilden. Found loads of birds, with bass to 26" and blues to 26" under them. It was worth my online fee just to have him point out the action. Funny thing, that after I left there and winds subsided the action died off all over. Head up through NY Harbor and got 8 more schoolies. When out by Tilden a tired baby bird was trying to hold on to my motor. I netted him, to save him. He was walking around my boat most of the day. I later let him go close to shore where he would be safe! Attaching picture of bird. And pic of the action Brendan turned me on to. Tight Lines.

Thanks for the report and pics. Glad you had some good action. Having another boat out there to talk to is always an advantage. Looks as I am going to skip this week. Need to tie some big flies for southern winter bass.

Odd to see such a young bird at vulnerable this time of year. I can't even ID it???
