Are there any free sites that you can view depths of ponds in Mass? :-%

This might do it. Not detailed comercial type product but it ought to be a place to start with....might even make you're own notations after you fish the lake. :brow

The mass maps do include pond contours and are downloadable.

NH has books available that show not only pond deepths but contours.

I've found the Mass DFW maps to be pretty accurate, and very helpful. Unfortunately, my favorite two local mudholes aren't on the site. Or maybe I should say fortunately because it probably keeps other fishermen off of those waters... ;)

I haven't found the mass fish and game maps to be that good, but they can give you a good start.

Kayaks with fishfinders are great for checking out your local ponds, easy to cover water and they don't spook the fish so you can map out spots. You can also locate schools of fish and jig them up which is a very effective approach for somewhat neutral fish in cold water. (theoretically that is, I haven't tested this theory since sunday ;) ).

Thanks for posting that! I didn't realize NH had a set of pond maps online like that.
