You can rent kayaks out by Leeward. Just paddle across the cut there and along the various islands and you can find bones.

Also, there is a spot beyond Flamingo (Bonefish Drive I think is the road) there is a big flat that looks REALLY fishy. I walked it once and didn't see anything but I'd be surprised if there were no bones there. I'd give that a shot too.

If you look at a map, (http://www.provo.net/PNetMap.html try to get out to SW side of the island. The creeks and inner lakes look pretty good. I took a trip out there to poke around and it looked fishy.........I'd check out there too.
There is a road near the dump that will take you out that way. Fun to explore regardless.

Hope that helps.

I was also going to go the kayak way across Leeward cut to fish for bones but found out you have to kayak pretty far to get out of the national park. Beware the boundries. Nasty fine if you are caught....no pun intended! If you want the bones bad enough call Catch the Wave Charters and hire Eddie Missick! Fantastic!

I heard that too about fishing in the National Park.

The weird part is, I hired a Barr Gardiner as a guide one day and we fished all through that area......We waded, fished from the boat etc. Not sure if he had a license to fish there or what but we weren't bothered at all.

Thankfully, we didn't have any trouble in the kayaks either.....could have just been lucky.

Leeward, because its has business there is fairly easily accessible by cab.

Flamingo, you'll most likely need a car, bike, or scooter. A cab could drop you off but its not as easy to arrange for pick-up.

Where are you staying?

You were very lucky and Barr Gardiner extremely lucky! You would have been asked to leave the area(maybe a fine) but Gardiner would have had a BIG fine. The patrol boats are getting more used to checking these areas out. Easy for him because no one fishes these areas and so there would be fish there.

I own a beach front rental villa on Providenciales that has four kayaks rigged for fishing and there is bonefishing nearby.

The guys at Kayakfishingstuff.com just went there and did well

If you want to use a guide I like Ed Missick of Catch the Wave - he's great fun and a good guide

We stayed at Kinamwei in February this year. It's a fantastic house with it's own private beach. We used the guide that British Flyer suggested; he was good.
 We reckoned that there must be some great boneys in the sound, but didn't have the right gear to get there. Now that there are kayaks, that will mean great access to a potentially superb fishing area right across the street from the house - and, no guide to pay! --126-3-
Anyone wanting some pictures of the house, email me and I'll send them on.
