Is fishing in Tamarindo as good as they say?

Hi all;

I am heading to Tamarindo for a couple of weeks to fly fish and troll my brains out. I will be there for the first half of Jan. Is the fishing down the really good? It seems like a popular spot that is probably getting fished out.....hopefully I am wrong.

Please reply if you have had a positive or negative expereince in Tamarindo. Any recommendations on specific guide, boats, crews, fishing spots, etc would be huge. I'll post my report when I return.
