5-8: Holyoke Dam shad on fire

Shad fishing exploding at Holyoke dam with big numbers taken in AM. Caught over 30 Americans, one or two Gizzards, no stripers in morning and 10-20 more shad in afternoon. Saw one nice 32-34 inch striper taken illegally above Rte 116 bridge.

Chicopee River level has dropped big time and current flow is now poor. Fishing there is fair at best. Some more rain would help that fishery.
