I will jump in on this one. Not sure which pattern yet. Maybe a bendback Ray's fly or small ultra-hair pattern for the flats. I'll figure it out over the holidays and let you know for sure.

I am going to bow out on this one. Just doesn't seem worth it with only 5 participants.

I'll do some weighted sand eels for getting down quick and deep.
That would have made 7 participants if someone hadn't wimped out. Come on guys especially those of you with new fly tying kits join in and don't be bashful. Good oppurtunity to trade you first attempts for samples of what can be done.

If you need another I will join in. I am new to tying so you will probably get bluefish quality flies from me.
If anyone in the Boston/Arlington area want to hook up and tie a couple, I would appreciate the help. I am going to First Light in Ipswitch for their weekly free tying flings, but every little bit helps.

Did not make it last night, but was there before the holiday. Did see that they did the epoxy body fly. We did a type of sand eel before christmas along with a "santa" clouser! Nothing like tying a couple and having a couple :-% .
sk/ray - if you want to get together send me a pm. I want to make a shopping list for the marlboro show. Most of my stuff is FW stuff and my mitt's don't tie midges.

JK,
Please PM me your mailing address for my flies.
I tied an ultra hair clouser that Juro Mukai originated & I caught my biggest striper to date on.
Tried to take some digital pics of the flies but the camera is suffering post 2 year old boy stress disorder.
Thanks,
Roop

Yee haaaw
Careful casting those weighted flies. They could really hurt on the back of the head or worse if you clipped a rod.

Great group of flies guys - THANKS! It's always neat to see what's on someone elses mind. For example, I have never made a well digger, yet there are 2 great ones in the group. Ditto on the corsair tubing for the epoxy body, or just very slender epoxy sandeels (I've always got BIG stuck on my brain when tying.... ah me...). All great flies and an inspiration to broaden my outlook. Now to make more time to tie...

Not sure when my flies came in since I've been away and the wife did not check the box for a couple of days. Just want to ditto what everyone else said. There will be a lot of Barnstable harbor fish fallling for them.
