I'm new to ice fishing in Eastern MA and I was hoping to get some advice on where to start my adeventure. I would love to find a nice trout pond, but I grew up taking perch, crappies and the occasional pike out of Black Lake in Northern New York.

So any destinations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Trout stocked waters in MA (http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/dfw_trout_waters.htm)

Concentrate on the deeper and larger ponds and lakes that have both a spring and fall stocking and you should have a good shot at both fresh fish and holdovers. It's a little early still though.

Thanks, Sam!

Those links will be very helpful. It took me years to find reliable lakes in Northern New York so your info will be a big help.

Don't worry - I won't set foot on ice thinner than 5 inches and even then I wear my snowshoes!

Thanks agian.
