I am leaving for a weeks worth of scuba diving in Cayman Brac. I am going to take my 6 & 8 Wt fly rods along and do some bonefishing. What would you suggest for flys. If you had your choice of 6 styles and sizes, what would you take? I will be diving in the AM and fishing later in the day most of the time.

I would leave the 6 weight home. You'll probably have wind to deal with when casting, plus the Caymans are one of the few places where you could hook a wide variety of fish so I'd rather have the 8 wt. in case you hook jacks, permit, etc.

I am not sure precisely which flies to recommend for Cayman Brac but these would be top choices for me:

Bonefish Scampi, pink over tan, #6 & #4
Borski's Super Swimming Shrimp, #6 & #4
Gotcha with sililegs, #6 & #4
Veverka's Mantis Shrimp, #6

The diving was so incredible on Little Cayman that I never bothered to fish there. Now that is incredible.
