Marco island: guides and fishing areas

Looking for some recomendations on guides and shore fishing areas for March 11-18th, staying in house on spinnaker drive on marco island. Will be with family and friends so kid friendly adventures (party boats) are most definatly welcome. Look forward to hearing some good ideas.

Nice guy and the fishing was pretty good. He was actually referred to me by Mike Rice (Who I think you know). Mudwalk...Muddog...hmmmm... Anyway, if memory serves me right, I think George and Mike's brother used to swap trips or something. I had another friend use him last year and was happy too.

I just got back from my first trip to Marco and it was great fun. I had the kids and my wife there too but I still got in about 5 hours of fishing and it was very good - in my opinion. In this time I landed 10 quality fish (jacks, bluefish, pompano, redfish, black drum) all in Marco on pink and white clousers and my 7 weight. This was my first saltwater trip and I am hooked. I got all of my tips from Mangrove Outfitters (only 15 minutes outside of Naples). Here are the places I fished. Hope this helps:
• Tigertail Beach Lagoon - especially the end near the South Seas Tower Condos (steady action here and I stayed at those condos)
•Tigertail Beach (the ocean beach - not lagoon) - apparently, this spot is really good for catch and release snook in the spring
• The canals on both sides of Hwy #92 (leaving Marco near Goodland) - not a safe place for young kids due to traffic

Leaving this sat. for a week on Marco Island, have booked a guide in captiva toward end of week(paul smith) for a bit of an adventure. Have a good amount of info on Marco Island and might try for a guide at beginning of week closer to home. anyone been fishing down there recently with any reports on what to maybe expect. thanks
