If any of you Boston Reel Timers can get out of the office, Mayor Menino and State fisheries officials will be on hand Wednesday 5/10 at 10:30 a.m. to stock Jamaica Pond with over 500 rainbow, brown, brook, and tiger hybrid trout along with 15 Atlantic salmon. Always fun to watch the waters teeming with trout and the salmon are beauts. We'll be at the beach due east of the boathouse -- look for the crowd and the trucks.
Yes, you can fish for them with a valid MA license, but these things hit a little too readily once they acclimate to the pond which can take as little as 5 - 10 minutes.
