Hi has anyone used a butterfly rig for stripers?

They seem like they could be effective to drop to fish holding in deep water.
Does anyone have any expeirence with them good or bad?
I don't really like trolling or tossing eels so I thought I could use them to target stripers in deep wate.

These are KILLERS!

If you're fishing soft/hard-flat bottom, use the Braid lure
with the bottom hook on, and the two gamakatsu butterfly
hooks off the top. If you're fishing a reef, wreck or struc-
ture, take the bottom hook off to reduce the number of
bottom snags.

Go get the video with Chozae Wachebbie -- it's pretty
cheezy, but does discuss the lure pretty well.
