Flying into Cancun in two weeks and looking for accessible spots for shore fishing around the Yucatan. Will be fishing around Campeche in the second week but any suggestions on where to go during the first week would be welcome. Thanks.

I fished off several resorts areas down near Tulum....lots of blind casting....snook in the morning a real possibility...caught a variety of fish....some nice bones....pompano...bonita.....blind cast and have fun.....hot pink body gotchas took everything....snapper....sgt major fish ..you name it...
be prepared for cudas stealing your fly.....recommend STRONGLY using a line bucket or what I use the new William Joseph belt system...packs nicely and works great for shore fishing......

Hi:
You can try fishing in front of the Moon Palace, there is a nice flat where I have caught bones and seen permit ocacionally. You can access the flat from the beach.
If you want to get the best of Cancun Fishing you might want to try Ascension Bay, check:

Hi Rogelio
I have been to Moon Palace but did not spot the flats.
What direction are they from the dock?
Heading down again in April and will not be able to leave the resort for a day's fishing, so need to fish at MP.
Tnx in advance for your help.
Cheers
Chris
