Looks like I have the chance to fish Andros Island the first week of March. Will be meeting my brother and staying on his boat. So any suggestions on best flights from Nassau (planning to fly into Andros town at this point, can change if there's a better area.), areas to fish, etc. would be appreciated. I fished Los Rogues last summer and fought the wind the whole trip, but still have all the flies, etc. Any suggestions on anchorages close to good fishing. (He drafts 7ft.) I dove Andros in the 70s so I know about the reef and the inside conditions. I was thinking that the Fresh Creek area would be accessible with the skiff. Would appreciate any advice.

The opportunities on Andros are extensive. With this in mind it can result in analysis/paralysis. If you are intent on DIY - consider Curly Creek. This is north of Bowens Sound and south of AUTEC. This is a hugh ocean side flat that has some great fishing. If you ask around - tell them you want to go where the Conch Farm was planned but never worked.

As the fishing is so vast/varied, I recommend a guide for the area. Dennis Leadon or Charley Neimore come to mind immediately. I fish with Andros Island Bonefish Club 2 times per year and most of their guides are excellent.

9wts with tan/pearl Gotchas with long beards are the best anywhere on the island. Enjoy.

Looks like the free lodging is going to be anchoring in the Exumas instead of Andros. I will be posting a new thread for info. Thanks,
