Well the nice UPS man delivered a package full of goodies yesterday. Included were two of Rapala's new creations. Amazing looking lures. Through-wire, heavy duty hooks and an amazing finish. Has anyone used them yet? They are suppose to do 13 knots and dive to 30' w/o flipping or kicking out. If so, they should greatly improve my mini spread.

I have used them and find them better than the Mann. The Stretch lures can't run as fast and they flip upside down and head to the surface too much. The x-raps also vibrate in faster shorter strokes and run true.

13 KNOTS!!!
I ran a Manns Stretch 30 a bunch last year (it got bit :brow ) but that sucker pulled about 12 lbs of drag at 6 knots. Somebody would need a Gold 50 to pull one of these new deep divers at 13 kts.
Those X-raps sure do look sweet.
What are you chasing that you need to pull 13 kts? Just curious, the highest I hear of for bft is around 8-9.

Party boats in CA typically troll at 8-12 knots. Wrap a strap around the back rail, clip it on the harness lugs and toss the rod over the side. --127-3-
Nothing like seeing 4 rods rigged like this going off at once!
