Slappy,

I know you are jonesing for reports but this barely qualifies.

I was supposed to meet up with a fellow reel timer to possibly chase some schoolies but neither of us could get motivated. I headed to a local reservoir to look for salmon and trout instead. I fished for 1.5 – 2 hours, tossing a ¼ oz green and chrome Kastmaster. Ended up fooling two Rainbows, one about 9” the other a little larger. Not a stellar performance but it was nice to land a couple of fish.

Maybe next week I'll get something with stripes insted of spots. Although, at the risk of being ridiculed, I will admit that I like to catch stocked fish.

Eric, that wasn't me. That was an area worth a few casts if you get too warm though. Just go deep--you can cast to 20' to 40' of water from shore.

DAQ by my standards from yesterday, you had wide open fishing!

I launched in the dark on an UDL (a big river in Boston) to look for stripers. I paddled up and down, back and forth watching the fish finder the whole way. I even tried trolling. Nothing. No good marks anywhere, no fish caught. Not just a shutout, a no hitter. Probaby even a perfect game, didn't even see anything that looked like a bass on the FF.
