I would appreciate recommendations for a non-monofilament line for my Calcutta 400, primarily used for stripers. Please include suggested brand, test and color

I like spiderwire fusion for my reel. It is not as thin as fire line or as strong, but it has a bit more substance on the spool which keeps it from getting fouled. (especially when a big fish is pulling against a heavy drag setting);

This line is also very easy to cut!

If you need to put some yardage on this reel this is the ticket.
