TieFest-2006
I would like to invite everyone to our annual Tie Fest on the Chesapeake Bay
Tie Fest started with about 6 guys tying flies and drinking a few beers in a basement; and after the third year it out grew it and ever year we have more attendees. Last year the event was held at Winchester Creek Outfitters we had over a hundred and fifty people show up for the day. Lefty Kreh came over for the day and demonstrates his many fly tying techniques, we also had many other local tiers demonstrating everything from trout fly’s to salt water stuff.
Everyone is welcome and it's free to all attendees. You do not have to be a member or even a fly fisherman to attend; you only have to have a curiosity about fly-fishing.
This years Tie Fest will be held Saturday February 18th from 10AM to 4: PM at the Moose Lodge is in Grasonville, MD Kent Island Narrows “Mid Eastern Shore Chesapeake Bay. Ever year we strive to have something from the new fly fisher/tier to the seasoned veteran.
This year we will have Sage Rods, St Croix Rods, Temple Fork Outfitters, guides from the Chesapeake Bay Guides Association and local fly shops will be displaying their latest offerings plus.
