Tried the Coles before first light and only hads one follow and one 10" striper. There was a guy fishing from the bridge with bait but he left shortly after I got there. After the tide turned I headed for the Narrows to catch the start of the incoming but the tide was still dropping slowly. There was quite abit of surface activity on the Touisset side. I did manage several bumps and one 18" striper. After that the wind started to pick up and with it blowing in my face casting was becoming a chore. Got home before the storms moved through the area. Seems the fish are staying on the West side of Mount Hope Bay more this year than in past years- maybe some good came from all those easterly winds. ron

I fished the coles very quickly tonight only for about 15 minutes. Didn't get anything. Tide was low slack. The coles is still very slow in my opinion. I havn't done well there all year. Have you had any good days there this year?

Where is the bristol narrows? I'm pretty familiar with the area and for all I know I've been there but didn't know it was the bristol narrows.

You have also mentioned the Kikomet (don't know the spelling). Is that in the same area?

Jim- The Bristol Narrows is the mouth of the Kickemuit going in from Mount Hope Bay. To get to the Narrows going south on 136 take a left after the Stop&Shop lite and go to the end. There's also a public fishing area further down the Bay- to get there take the right before the end of the road leading to the Narrows and go to the end. Take a right and the entrance is on the left(about 100ft.)Usually you can park by the ramp and walk to the right - had some good squeteague fishing there in the past. ron
