Adding Stinger Hooks

Any secrets to adding stinger hooks? I saw how Dave Skok does it on his website. Is that way strong enough to hold big fish? Or are there other stronger ways of adding stingers?

I've used Skok's method and never had a problem with fish up to 30 lbs.
