Some spawning shrimp to test on Eleuthera Bones. Based on Pulgasi pattern.

Good flies. Jimbo, you gotta tie the rabbit version of them, though. They are like bonefish CANDY!
Jim,
They look fine! :brow
I tie a slightly different version of a spawning shrimp. I place the lead eyes towards the back of the hook, and use an orange floss body, with some tan arctic fox tied in.
But, in the final analysis, if you made a good presentation, didn't spook the fish, if he sees the fly, he'll eat it.

Thanks guys
Something to do on a cold snowy afternoon. ;)
bob... I'm still working on that "Buggy" look. Hoping that it will land soft w/ that cushion.
JJ .... post up a pic of the bunny version.... do they palmer the body or just tie in a strip?

They tie in the rabbit in pieces, moving progressively back towards the eye of the hook. I'll tie one up tomorrow and record the step by step for ya :)

Cool.... I like it!
looks easy to tie Too! :-%
Jim,
The Orvis fly JJ posted is a killer, and pretty close to the one I tie.
I move the lead eyes towards the back of the hook, b/c I use that pattern as my 'go to' fly on mudding fish, and I find it seems to fish better with the eyes located there.
Instead of rabbit, I used tan arctic fox just b/c it was what I had/have.
But, if you copy the fly in his photo, you won't be disappointed.
Jim, Eleuthera fish see loads of flies and lots of pressure, and as a result can be very jumpy, esp in Sav Sound. Fish tailing is real skinny water are as cautious as any I've seen. Don't hesitate to tie up a few 'blind' puffs. Eliminating the eyes will help the fly to land silently in the water, and reduce the chance of spooking a 8lb bone in 4" of water.

Nice shrimp but when I read the title I was expecting some x-rated spawning action but just like my ex they just kind of laid there --127-3-
When I went to South Andros last year (going back in 3 weeks), the spawning shrimp were the go-to fly.
