WINDY.

First sorry I did not post this 2 hours ago, I was feeling pretty worn out when I got home. A bit rest now but will get more so I can go again tomorrow.

About 30 ft of water around the island was not frozen. Some groups sounded like they were getting flags others said it was slow. I had fair action spread out over the day. Got about 5 bass, two perch and one sunfish. Spent time hundled into my wind break just watching for flaggs.

Medium shiners seem hard to come by..... a bye product of the lousy season.

I ice fished a body of water in SE Mass yesterday (Sat) with a couple of other guys. You had to pay attention where you were stepping because it could go from 3-4 inches to 2 inches or less in one pace. We stayed off the blacker or snow covered patches. I managed to break through into shin deep water about 3 feet from shore but just got a little damp.

Lots of flags, mostly pickerel, some bass, but nothing of any size.

With the warmer air coming in next week I think that's the end of what amounted to a very short ice fishing season.

AFter a very night with a slight fever, I managed to drag myself back over to A! to join Slappy and supposing a couple other guys. Slappy was was in an area that had been very slow for the guys that were there yestreday. Well it proved very very slow for us as well. I managed 1 pickeral in 4 hours, Slappy did a few more fish with his jigging and one nice bass which I hope he will post the picture of.
