Here are a couple shots from the Bassmaster Classic. The weigh in stage was unreal. Its like a concert! The crowd goes absolutely insane when the guys come in on their boats, and if they go for the second live well forget it, people lose it. The show itself is great, lots of stuff going on and pro’s all over the place to talk to and get autographs. I was like a little kid in a candy store the whole time. I got to meet a bunch of new pros and older pros, most not pictured, and got to spend a little time with some who I watched every weekend growing up like Roland Martin, Bill dance, Hank Parker etc. so that was a great experience.

Even if you are not in to freshwater, the energy those fans have and the excitement at that show was incredible. I would highly recommend anyone who has the chance to see a weigh in, especially the last day, go!! You won’t regret it. I never really got all the hype behind the freshwater tours but being there and experiencing it, I get it now. I’d go to more of them if I could.

Imagine having Mike Icanelli fishing down from you while your working a small deceiver up against some eel grass at first light on your favorite 6wt.?
Who's worse, him or a jet ski?

But I guess his goal is working, were talking about him. I did see on one of the attachments he was in last place on the leader board.

I am still in the area, working out of Wareham. I was there for work. Its a free show until the last day, no tickets needed. The last day weigh in is $40. Ico did get disqualified the first day for a temper tantrum where he was caught releaseing dead fish by an observer. Not a big deal, just a penalty, but then he broke a flare or something so he was DQ'd for tampering with safety equip. Only weighed in 8lbs the second day and didn't even have a prayer at the cut giver the top 30 had stringers of 15lbs or better per day.

I always assumed it was Good ol boy fishing too but the competition was pretty cool, far from good ol boyish. I had a ton of fun.
