JJ and I fished some little pond out hear waltham today and hooked up with 4 nice rainbows. the method consisted of throwing powerbait, sitting in a chair and drinking a beer. the drinking seemed to be the key to attracting these mighty fish, as they seem to sense the weakness in an intoxicated angler and often attempted to steal your power bait when you were drinking. But we noticed this pattern and began actually holding the rod and paying strict attention. This inventive technique led to multiple hookups on mighty hatchery raised gangsta trout.
JJ also sponteneously grew a mullet after fishing this way for an hour.
1 hr, 4 fish, nice day, first trip out. sweet.
heres a couple pics:

Nice report! I only caught one yesterday at another freshly stocked location. This fish didn't adjust to well to the stocking and was floundering around the bottom so I scooped him up by hand and through him on the bank. No hook line or sinker involved. :-)

I hope you brought one of those large metal chains with the series of over sized paper clips to display those fish with.
I am envious. I fished the Cape yesterday and got skunked.

fleshfly, no bells, thats a line i just couldnt cross. if you actually hold the rod to feel the pick ups you can sort of convince yourself that you are actually fishing.
casual dress, no big chain stringers, we did one better: threw the fish in a plastic grocery bag w/ some ice from the pond. :)
I hope everyone sees the tongue in cheek nature of this thread. It is amazing what one will do to pass the time until the real fishing begins.
In 2-3 weeks I'll be posting pics of some serious largemouths and smallmouths!
