Just got back from a wonderful week at Acklins Bahamas, and now it's time to go with the family on a cruise- looking to escape once if possible, need info. as i leave Sunday April 1. looks like there is decent fishing from outfitter websites, but I'm always sceptical. Thanks in advance for any info. , Eric

Hi Eric,
I took a trip to PR last year for my job and stayed a couple of extra days to go fishing. I took the high speed ferry to Culebra Island and rented a small boat for a couple of days. I fished a number of flats, lagoons and blue water areas. I caught a few bonefish but generaly the fishing was sparse. The local fish populations have been pretty well fished out based on what I have read and my limited experience. PR is trying to implement fishing restrictions and licencing but enfocement has proven challenging. I have heard that there is some good Tarpon fishing in some of the lagoons around the main island. Next time I go down I will focus on fishing for Tarpon in the lagoons. PM me if you want any more details.
