Headed to Virgin Gorda for some Island R&R. I am staying at Little Dix Bay and bringing my fly rods. The tourist guides go on about Bones, Permit etc... Anyone ever actually had some success? Any/all info is appreciated.
I've been to Virgion Gorda, and stayed right near your place at Little Dix.
I spent a couple weeks searching, and the only place I found flats which had bonefish we at the opposite end of the island, at a place called Bitter End Resort.
You'll need to drive or take a taxi all the way to the end of VG, and you'll come to a town pier/landing. From there, you'll need to take the free ferry out to Bitter End. It's only a 10 minute ferry ride. Once there, you'll need to walk about a 1/2 mile to the east, and you'll find some decent, but small flats. I've personally seen plenty of small bonefish there, but sad to say, I never caught one there. They seem to see loads of pressure, and spooked very easily.

The flat on the east side of Mosquito Island just off Little Dix Bay (you'll need at least a little dinghy to putt over to the island, but nothing more than a dinghy) holds bones...or at least did as of a few years ago!
