maribou, blood feathers???

Anyone out there know good supplier for these. Using them for tying Gartside soft hackle decievers (palmering the maribou) and was wondering if some one has found some superior to others. :confused:

Many outfits supply blood quill to both commercial tyers, fly shops, and catalogues (since the stuff comes from turkeys we'll never run out...). Two good sources for your local shop are Wapsi Fly and Hobbs Feather Co. I usually look for 4" blood quill that's already strung for ease of handling. Good luck

Thanks Bob, have gotten other good stuff from wapsi before, have not seen much of the hobbs materials. Just found some today at local shop where I guide out of (trout).
