Had a great afternoon fishing the incoming southside yesterday. The first 2 fish were the smallest of the day being cookie cutter schoolies around 16". From there it was all uphill with the next two being solid "'99 Keepers" just tipping the 28" mark with both fish taken me well into the backing. Ended up losing a much larger fish that kept me running down the beach, eventually with too much backing out, some mung on the line and alot of head shaking going on. One of my budies nailed a football of a 26"er as well. ALl others ranged from 18-15". The final count for the day was into the low teens. Rays Fly Pattern worked liked a charm on Orvis Deptcharge. The day ended with a couple frosty Bass Ales. What an evening to be on the water. Jack C.
