Pops, my bro, and I got on site about 10 am today and fished the upper west branch of the Westfield. Nice day, 60 degrees or so, although there was a heavy cross wind at times that made me wish I had a 5 weight instead of the 4. Lots of insect activity. Stones, and may fly hatch around 2pm. River woke up and the browns were very hungry and accomadating. Yellow humpies and light cahills worked well. Water level was low, very nice and clear. Saw some huge dragonfly nymphs and a whole bunch of little minnows as well as stone and mayfly nymphs under the rocks. We all dragged nymphs and streamers in the am and for part of the afternoon but all trout were taken on dries! I couldn't ask for a better day! Not a soul in site where we fished! Can't wait to get back! Happy Easter everyone and tight lines!

Thanks for a great report! I was thinking of hitting the westfield sometime this week. :)
