5 minutes from bedtime

<P><FONT color=black face=Verdana,Geneva size=2>I was all ready to call it a night when I looked out the window and noticed there was no rain, lightning, or wind.&nbsp; Hmmmm... caught the forcast, consulted the&nbsp;tide log and figured that if I left within the next hour, I would catch the flood.&nbsp; Sounds like a plan to me.</FONT></P><P><FONT face=Verdana size=2>&nbsp; Told the wife and countered her&nbsp;reactionary scowl with "the kids and you are going to be asleep anyway"; loaded up the truck and hit 1st Beach in Newport at 10pm.&nbsp; Landed my first striper of the year: 16".&nbsp; Caught on a black flat wing.</FONT></P><P><FONT face=Verdana size=2>&nbsp; Conditions were great:&nbsp; not too cold, minuscule winds, plenty of moonlight (peaking here and there through the clouds), and calm seas.</FONT></P><P><FONT face=Verdana size=2>Take care all,</FONT></P><P><FONT face=Verdana size=2>Mitch</FONT></P>

I almost did the same thing, albeit higher up in the bay. It was incredibly beautiful last night!

The only thing stopping me: I had to write 2, count'em 2 fishwires! And both were about Florida.

Ah yes.....the the Scowl! I see the "your going to be asleep anyway" is used by more than just me! Feel free to let me in on any other worthwhile comebacks....some of mine are getting used a little too much I'm afraid!!!

Beyond the scowl there is the - "I am worried about you. Are you sure you are getting enough sleep??"
