Soundking and I went to A1 saturday to catch some bass and pickerel. did pretty well, found some areas which were holding fish and some that were'nt.
unfortunately, the wind really hindered us, as the best action was off two shorelines which had a 25-30 mph wind blowing right into them, which blew the boat towards the shore. It was mayhem, you would set up 50 yards from shore and in 2 casts, you would be scrambling to get away from the stump and log riddled shoreline. we got stuck once and almost lost the motor from the back of the boat
Most fish were taken with spinnerbaits, some were taken with senkos and wieghtless worms, a couple more with a 3" tube. The spinnerbait was by far the best bait. but the wind blew the boat along so fast it was almost impossible to effectively fish the soft plastic.
The best bite was in the afternoon. In all, about 10 bass and about 5 pickerel. most bass were right about 1 1/2 pounds, with a couple right around two. Just couldnt find the big girls. The pickerel were all about 15 inches or so, with one the I caught closer to 20".
A1 one is a very interesting place, cant wait to get back next weekend.
