Hit some new water yesterday. Lovely morning, clear water and something is feeding on some type of hatch (still don't know these bugs). Small drys were snubbed, so I switched to streamers. Missed two takes in an eddy to user error. First time fishing a 4wt. Eddy dried up so I tried a few others without a bump. Gave a cross current cast a go and bingo, my first home built flyrod is christened. 7" Brookie. Amazing color, looked native to me. Wish I had a camera on me but all my gear was in the truck for shooting the marathon.
