Hooked up with DougieV and JimW for our annual trip to Maryland.Its usally our big bass opener if we hit it right.
We left Friday morning at 1 am.Picked JimW at 2 and we were on our way.Arrived at the spot at 6 am and were in the water in 1/2 a hr.
DougieV got the first fish in about 5 minutes and won our dollar first fish pool.We fished 630 till noon and scored a bunch of nice bass 36-38 inches.
Not catching any schoolies was nice .Had lunch and took a nap before our evening foray.Hit the water at 5 pm and once we found the fish we hammered them.
We could have caught many more but got chased off the water around midnight by thunderstorms.
We just made it back and got loaded up before they hit.
Totals for the trip were around 40 bass 36-41 inches with
Doug being the high hook.
550 miles on the truck.
11 hrs of driving .
11 hrs of fishin.
2 all nighters with each of us getting about 3 hrs of sleep in 48hrs.
We hooked up with some old friends from our 1st trip down there.
We fished with Bob aka Mullet Miller and fished the evening with
Chris aka Porter.We also met a bunch of new guys from SOL and KFS
Jim Jim Paul and Mike D.
Water temps were 55-58 degrees.Weather was perfect and water was clear.
We didnt notice any milt coming from these fish so I am thinkinging they might have spawned already.
A great trip with great people made this trip a very memorable one.
