Costa Rica.....Rancho Pacifico... Warning...Warning

Hi All,
Just got back from Golfito, Costa Rica. I booked my trip through Rancho Pacifico and was extremely disappointed. The information of the website is deceiving and incorrect. We did not even fish with a Rancho Guide and in fact did not even visit the Rancho property. Our guide was not a versed fly-fisher and did not communicate with us until we tracked him down the night we got into Golfito. Rancho is only acting as a travel agent in this situation and not a very good one at that. Please email me if you have any questions. The only saving grace was landscape and the gracious people of Costa Rica. I will return but not with Rancho Pacifico or Sport Fishing Unlimited.

It sounds to me like you thought you were booking a trip at Golfito Sailfish Rancho, when you actually booked something else.

When you go back to CR send me a PM. I will never charter a boat again in the US.....I'm saving it all to fish in CR.

I go to the same area you went, but stay on the other side of the gulf....there are a lot of great boats to go with from there.

It's good to hear you didn't let them ruin your opinion of the area....I can't say enough good things about it down there.
