I bought some marine goop to attach my transducer cup to my plastic kayak. According to the label it is not to be used with polyethylene or plastic kayaks. Anyone every had a problem with it damaging the kayak?

I've used marine goop on a wilderness systems and dagger - no issue.
No problem damaging the plastic but it didn't hold well at all either. Would guess it will work better if you rough the surface up really well with coarse grit to get a better mechanical bond.

Wes is right use 80-100 grit sandpaper to rough up the area where the transducer will be placed. You can use goop or 100% clear silicone but you will need to let it set for 3 full days without turning on the FF unit.

I've never attached a transducer but I assume you are shooting through the hull. Why are you using Goop instead of silicone?
