Just returned from a week at Turneffe. What an AWESOME place! The flats, lagoons, islands, water, etc. were really beautiful and there were tons of fish. We caught many bones (which I had never caught before). A little on the small side, but a ton of fun on a 6 wt. Managed one permit out of a school of 200 or so spawning fish. They didn't want to eat, but what a sight! Some of these fish were enormous! There was even an albino fish in the school, which the guide said he hadn't seen in over ten years.

We fished with "Pops", who helped design Pops bonefish bitters fly. The guy is a local legend with 30+ years of experience fishing in Belize. Fishing with him was a real privelege.

Jumped a few tarpon, although I couldn't seal the deal for the grand slam.

The service, food, staff, etc. at the Turneffe Flats lodge were really great and exceeded all our expectations. I gave the trip to my Dad for his 70th. We had a totally awesome time and we have some great memories for life now.

If anyone is thinking of going there, I would HIGHLY recommend it!
