Has anyone been having any luck with strippers on Plum Island or in the sound?

Didnt see any Strippers up there (probably to cold to undress). I did manage a few small stripers in the river 15"-20", got them on small jigs. It was pretty slow all in all, I think next week will be better and even better the next, Joe.
On friday I took my son and the boat up to the merrimack for the first time this year. We put in at Cashman's and worked the river above RT1. We managed to catch a few schoolies working the creek mouths and structure around Ferry's Landing. When the tide went slack we motored down towards the mouth. The wind was too strong to fish, but we did see folks landing fish along the north shore of Plum Island. Yesterday Bobby took his cousins fishing from the Salisbury side and managed one schoolie before the weather chased them back inside. It maybe slow but it is starting.

Fished the Merrimac River saturday and sunday using assorted clouser minnows (various colors). Caught a dozen or so schoolies and one nice 30 incher. It is getting better every day.
If you have a boat. Try fishing the islands near Ferry Landing Marina
