I am dying to catch my first striper on fly.... Hell that would be my first FISH on fly... Whats my best bet in terms of local? Whats hot Whats not? I am based in Swansea, MA

With all the twinkies up by the 103 bridge its hard not to catch something. I've been using a clouser tied with small or x-small eyes in olive over white(about 3" long) with alot of flash(6 gold, 4 silver/pearl, and 2 orange Mirage). The trick is to dead drift the fly and just move it enough to keep in touch with it. I've used both a full sink intermediate and a sink-tip with good luck. The nite tides seem to be the best as the water is warmer than at first lite. I hope this helps. rel
