Hello,
I went out surfing early this morning with my dad and while I was out I smelled fish blood in certain areas of the water. I thought that it must have been my rashguard until I got home and my rashguard (or shorts) didn't smell at all like fish. We just went out surfing again and I smelled it again this time it was really strong in a small area maybe only about a 10 foot circle. I told my dad to paddle into the smelly circle and he said he could smell fish blood too. I was wondering if anyone has ever smelled fish blood while wading or fishing from a boat and if they knew the reason you would smell it above water. I thought I should also mention that there were some small bait fish around and jack feeding on them.
