Mackeral in CC Bay

I was just wondering if there has been any word of mackeral showing up in the Bay yet, specifically around Barnstable and Sesuit Harbors. Also, if so, has there been anything significant chasing them. Thanks.

I caught 55 of them off the Gurnet this afternoon. The schools were sporadic but the fish were big. I understand that the bay is full of them but I didn't see anything after them.

I know someone who went fishing for mackrel off of newport last week. They did very well. They also said the fish were large. They were fishing for mackrel and didn't care if anything was chasing them. It's a good sign. Lots of herring, lots of mackrel, lots of squid, all we need now is lots of bunker and lots of stipers and blues:);
