Just a quick question for everyone,

Do you spend more time fishing for stripers during the night or times with some or full light? Favorite plugs or flies and luck you've had over the last few seasons?

I consider myself a night fisherman, though I do some fishing during the day when the flats are fishing well. I primarily fish needles and surfaceswimmers up inside the rivers or off the rocks. Last season I was fishign the beach at night when the pogies were schooling and landed a 42lb bass on a Tattoo 2oz swimmer. In my opinion Tattoo makes the best swimmer on the market. For needles it depends on the depth of the water I'm fishing. Over all off the rocks or in the deep rips of the rivers, Habs needles are outstanding. For water that is shallow I go to Salty's stubby of Afterhours needles.

What's you deal?

It depends on the time of year. Spring and fall, anytime can be good. However, there's a reason that July and August are known as the ansomnia months....
