On Saturday I arrived at the lees about 9:30am. Tried the usual small swimmers and small shads. Nothing. A little skeptical I put on a 3 or 4" creek chub popper. 5th cast had a hit. That was it. I was hitting fish on that popper for 2 1/2 hrs non stop. There were fish all over the place. Everywhere I moved in the river they hit the popper. The fish were from 10" to 19". Most were about 15".
On sunday I tried the Lees again. This time the weather was bright and sunny. Around 10am I got a nice strike. Wala a nice 26" fish. Had a few other bumps but didn't hook up.
Tried a few casts in the lees around 7pm Sunday. Didn't get anything. I was only there about 15min. Took a ride to the coles. Fished for about 20min. Didn't get anything.
