Sorry it took so long for this post the fishing has been too good to get on the computer.
Fished South Cape Friday afternoon on rising tide from 4:30pm till dark. As soon as I arrived guys were on to bluefish. It took several lure selections to get them to hit but it seemed that white 5-8" poppers with bucktails were the key. Once the bucktails were chewed off I had to switch lures to one with a fresh bucktail. It was a fish every cast for a while ranging in size from 5 to 10 lbs. I almost forgot how hard a 10lb blue fights the best one was one that I foul hooked on the tail. I thought it was a monster.
Saturday morning from dawn til around 9:00am was slower but still produced several blues in the 10lb. range.
Well I have to repaint and put new bucktails on several lures so gotta go.
Tight lines
