shark fishing questions?

I am new to shark fly fishing and was looking for any info i can get.I will be fishing in the pacific northwest but I would think the aproach should be similar.I am wondering about what chum,flies,water temp.,structure?I've never tried so any info is helpful,thanks.

Sturgeon- I'm guessing from your location that Salmon sharks will be your target. I know that a lot of people are targeting them now from northern CA up to Alaska, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it with a fly. These are s'pose to be some bad-a$$ pullers and I'm guessing 13-14 wt. rods at a minimum. Some other west-coast oriented sites may offer more info, but if you do make this happen, by all means let us know.

Salmon Sharks it is… Not sure about fly, but they are mean and fun to tangle with on heavy spinning gear.
