Fished West Dennis Beach during the rising tide last night and found ourselves being cutoff while floating whole herring. Quickly added wire leaders and managed multiple hookups and experienced fights you would expect from very large Blues. First fish straitened the snap on a 45lb leader. Finally landed one after several lost battles. It was 34 inches long with a 15 inch girth and weight estimated at least 10 pounds. If your planning on fishing this area with herring, don't forget to bring a couple wire leaders!!
