My son Logan and I got up at dawn and fished the Tarpum Bay Flats. Tide was just wrong.... but still managed 3. Logan even got one on a castmaster. Went home and chilled most of the day. Took a walk to the southern point of Winding Bay. Logan caught a cool looking yellow fish about 3 lbs. I got 2 bones in the surf. We had our "house keepers" nephew w/ us all day...cool kid from Nassau.... never been kayaking or snorkling! Getting to know some of the locals ..... just wonderful people! The poverty is somewhat disturbing to me, but the people don't complain and get by. BobG: glad I took your advice and brought steaks, chicken and hamburger from home! A local guy I met (Doolan) is going to get us some "summer Crab" ie. lobster . Yummi!!! :brow
Went to Half Sound at dusk & low tide.... saw a few tailers and a shark. I was surprised I didn't see more activity.
Tomorrow is Savanah Sound and the Gov. Harbor BBQ.
Fishing has been better than expected .... hope to explore the more remote areas in the coming days! Kalik Time! :-%
