Good point, well taken with some righteous responses. I confess should have posted earlier, but headed out of town for the week-end: had a great day on Friday fishing out of Marion with Kris Jop. Took 20-25 stripers 20-26" on olive and white clouceivers in Buzzard's Bay. We worked birds about halfway between Bird Island and the canal. Fished most of the day with a 5wt schoolie rod and Teeny 250 line. Did nearly as well later inside Marion Harbor with 8wt and Teeny 450. Only a few boats around, but everyone seemed to be taking some fish. One fellow fishing near us with plugs said he took a 34" fish. We caught the very end of the outgoing and nearly the full incoming tides.
