Started out of Plymouth and headed out to the Bank. Water was very cold. In the bay there were some temps as low as 56. At the SW Corner found a small fleet of boats trolling charlie. Set up and trolled torwards the BE. LOTS of Whales and bait. They were all 4-5 inch sand eels. Did see 1 school of small tuna briefly. Also had one of the bars hit hard but no hook up. Trolled till about 3 mi NNW of BE and that was all. Heard on radio of 1 other hook up but it was lost at the boat. On this area of the bank temps went up to 59.8F.
Headed out East for some bottom fishing. Did well on some Jumbo Pollack. 3 of them were close to 25 lbs. Even had a double header with a 10 and 23 pounder. Cod were slow only 2, a 12 and an 18 lb fish. Only a few Haddock. Still lots of bait and whales. Oh couldn't forget there were also Doggies.
