Aloha from Maui, just wanted to share a picture of my boat "Lil' Vandi" (named after my wife) and her power plant. The boat is fiberglass, weighs 40 pounds soaking wet, and has 2 rod holders built in. She powered by a Tanaka 3.0 hp outboard which weighs 24 pounds. I have a battery pack powered Humminbird fishfinder which is good for 600 feet. I use her more for trolling just outside the reef or off the rocky shoreline for Papio, Kaku, Lai'i, "Uku, and Kawakawa with the occasional Ono, and Mahimahi thrown in. Haven't tried her flyfishing yet but will as soon as I heal up from 2 back surgerys in a row. Here's some pics:

These were caught on my old SEARS Gamefisher 13.9 aluminum skiff with 18 hp outboard. The fish are a Kawakawa (Bonito), Ono (Wahoo), and Mahimahi (Dorado). It was a nice boat but too large for just one guy, and I didn't like trailers. My new 11' boat just gets thrown in the back of my truck, and launching is easy, any accessable shoreline will do, not hampered by a need for a launch ramp.
