If you could add $$$ one performance option to a 17 foot flats boat, what would be added as a 1st must have option? Hydraulic Jack Plate or Electric Trim Tabs?

the advice on Bennett's is right on the money. I'll never rig another skiff without them. My current set are in place about 16years now.... Trimmers make any boat run better that's all there is to it.

I'm curious as to why you don't recommend Lenco Trim tabs over Bennetts. Lencos don't have oil to mess with, leaky oil lines or fittings [the lines will eventually spring a leak], they are easier to install and react faster.
