Hello All,
Fished Poppy from 5 AM to 8 AM on Saturday morning. My Dad and I broke out our flyrods and got skunked. We did however see a number of stripers taken on live herring. Another gentleman (real nice guy) was throwing plugs and he picked up 3 fish (one around 26 inches). I was just thrilled to be out there for the first time this year. My first fish of the year will come in time.
Fished Black's Creek from my kayak (spinning gear) on Sunday. Fished from 11 AM to 2 PM (low-tide around 2 PM). Had one pick up and drop on a slug-go. A number of other fishermen were there too. Didn't see anyone move anything.
Hopefully you will all see more posts from me in the near future. I live in NH and I don't get down the Cape all that often but I do hit the NH coast and Joppa/Plum Island on a bi-monthly basis. My parents also live on the South Shore so I sometimes fish the North River and the Cohasset area.
